Electric Scooter Fleet Arrives in South Miami
This past Friday, just in time for a holiday launch, the Bird Fleet hit the SoMi streets.
The City of South Miami is thrilled to be the newest member of a global community of over 350 cities — and growing at lightning speed — to provide this green transportation option to its residents and visitors.
Convenient and low-cost, electric scooters will make our home even more livable and enjoyable by reducing car use, thereby improving traffic and noise conditions. All while reducing our collective carbon footprint by reducing gas-powered vehicle use. And yes, Bird uses green energy to charge its fleet!
And, of course, scooters are a super fun way to get around.

Bird was founded in 2017 to bring this affordable, public greentransportation to cities across the world. It’s been an instant hit in the United States, Canada, Europe, the Middle East, and Australia. And there are even more affordable rates for those who qualify for the special discount plan.
