The 39th Annual SoMi Art Fest kicks off on Saturday, February 24th. Live music, local food vendors, kids’ activities, and of course scores of art installations and exhibits from local, national, and international artists await!

With over 100 artists presenting jewelry, sculpture, mixed media, and more, even the most discerning collector will find impressive museum-caliber art and high-quality crafts.SoMi Art Fest Sculpture

This year’s musical lineup features FIU Trio, a student jazz ensemble selected to represent Florida International University at the Jazz Education Network; the ZB Trio, comprised of pianist Zach Bartholomew (check out his debut SoMi Arts Festival 2024 ZB Trioalbum at zbtrio.com!), New York drummer Chris Garriga, and Peruvian bassist Mario Cuba; Hayden Mapel, noted South Florida trombonist, arranger, composer, and educator; and Matthew Stevens, a born and raised Miamian who has played nationally and internationally with such famed artists as Gloria Estefan, El Dasa, and Cnco. The acts will play throughout both days of the festival, with an open jam session from 6pm to 8pm on Saturday.

The Festival Committee has assembled a team of professional art judges to award a grand total of $5,000 in prizes. You can find out who the Best in Show and Artists of Note are at 4pm on Saturday at First National Bank of South Miami/United Community Bank at 5750 Sunset Drive.

The festival is free to attend, and registration is not required.

Parking is available in several nearby garages, including The Shops at Sunset Place, the city garage at 5859 SW 73rd St, the lot at 5795 SW 73rd St, and street parking. Nonetheless, it’s still a good idea to carpool or take public transportation.

See you there!
